Q : What can we do to
help you get the best photographs for us?
A : The most important
thing that you can do is to leave plenty of extra time. Things never
go exactly as planned and extra time will allow you to solve any
problems and stay relaxed. Estimate how much time it will take for
you to get ready (hair, make-up, etc.) and then DOUBLE it!
Q : How would you
describe your photographic "style"?
A : Our goal is not to
just take pictures but to tell a story. Your wedding is a very unique
event that says a lot about both of you and it is our job to capture
that. We combine photojournalistic, fine art, and formal photography
together to do this.
Q : Is it really
necessary to have two photographers at our wedding?
A : While many other
photographers do photograph alone, we believe that it is impossible
to do the event justice with just one photographer. Having two
photographers allows us to capture more of the event and get multiple
angles of the ceremony. No one wants all of the pictures to be of the
back of the grooms head, by having two photographers we can get both
sides without having to move around as much and cause a distraction.
Q : Can we take pictures
at another location? (Or the church is ugly, what do we do?)
A : No problem. We are
more than happy to take the bride and groom or even the entire
wedding party to another location. Please keep in mind that this will
require additional time and planning. Also, always have a backup plan
if you are planning on photographing outside as you never know what
the weather will do.
Q : Should we do our
formal photographs before or after the ceremony?
A : That is a personal
decision that only you can make, We fully understand the tradition of
not seeing the bride before the wedding, however, it has been our
experience that the formal pictures go much smoother before the
guests arrive. By doing the picture before the ceremony you will not
feel rushed to get to the reception and will not have to keep your
guests waiting.
Q : How can we make sure
we get the pictures that we want?
A : While we cannot
guarantee we will get every picture that you request we will do our
best. If you have specific requests please give us a typed list ahead
of time. It will also be helpful to have someone from the wedding
party available to gather people together so we can get the shots you
request.
Q : Is it ok if guests
take pictures?
A : Yes and No. Guests
can take pictures during the ceremony and reception, however, we ask
that you inform them to turn there flashes off and to stay out of our
way. We would hate to miss an important shot because a guest was in
our way or their flash ruined the image. During the formal pictures
we request that no one else take pictures. Having other people take
pictures will only serve as a distraction and till likely double or
triple the amount of time required.
Q : How long will it
take before we get to see our pictures?
A : We can have digital
proofs to you within a week. Hard copies (prints) can take up to
three weeks.
Q : Can we have black
and white photos too?
A : Yes. We can turn and
picture to B&W or Sepia.
Q : We really like your
work, but we have appointments with two other photographers after we
see you. Will you call us if someone
else wants our date before we make our decision? Or can you "pencil
us in" for our date while we decide?
A : I can't hold a date
open for you while you make your decision, but I will try to phone
you if someone else contacts me about the date. However, if I am
contacted by couples who are familiar with my work who want to book
my services immediately. It isn't fair to these couples to make them
wait while I contact someone who hasn't been able to make a decision.
No wedding date will be held unless a deposit has been paid.
If you have any other
question please do not hesitate to contact us.
